Our Story

Math Works for Kids was born out of a deep commitment to education and a passion for math. In the Winter of 2005, we established Arithmetic Solutions, a for-profit company focused on providing innovative math tutoring and educational resources. Over the years, we witnessed firsthand the challenges that many children face when it comes to understanding and enjoying math. We realized that while our for-profit company was making a positive impact, there were still many children who lacked access to essential math support and resources.

As we engaged with our community, it became clear that the demand for quality math education transcended the boundaries of profitability. Many families, particularly those from under-resourced communities, found it increasingly difficult to access effective math tutoring and support. This realization ignited a passion within us to take action. We wanted to create a solution that would ensure all children, regardless of their circumstances, could have access to high-quality math education and support.

In response to this pressing need, we decided to launch Math Works for Kids, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children through mathematics. Our goal is to bridge the gap in math education by providing free and affordable tutoring programs, engaging math workshops, and accessible educational resources.
